The Challenge

In a saturated market of coastal escapes, Salty Doors needed more than just beautiful interiors to stand out. It needed a brand that truly captured its heart. The challenge was to create a visual identity that communicated both sophistication and soul—a refined, boutique offering rooted in genuine family values. We were tasked with striking the delicate balance between luxury and approachability, crafting a brand that felt elevated but never exclusive.

This meant ensuring every element of the identity, from social media and digital platforms to print collateral and merchandise, carried the same warmth, story, and design integrity. The brand needed to reflect Salty Doors’ unique position as both a stylish destination and a heartfelt host, celebrating storytelling, cultural connection, and the beauty of slowing down by the sea. Our strategy had to resonate with modern travellers while staying deeply connected to the essence of the people behind the doors.

Reviving Coastal Elegance

We led with storytelling. At the heart of Salty Doors is connection—to place, to people, and to the coast. Our strategy centred on building a brand that felt lived-in yet elevated, rooted in authenticity while effortlessly expressing quality. We collaborated closely with the founder to understand the emotional tone behind each property and translated that feeling into every brand touchpoint. From social media to signage, every detail was designed to create a seamless experience that felt curated, calm, and deeply personal.

Visually, we crafted an identity inspired by the natural beauty of the coastline. A soft palette of sand, seafoam, sage, and blush skies set the tone for a brand that is serene, warm, and inviting. Hand-drawn illustrations added depth and charm, supporting product categories while grounding the brand in storytelling and intention. A clean sans serif typeface brought a sense of timeless elegance, while the custom "D" in "Doors" subtly reflected both the movement of waves and the silhouette of a door handle—quietly reinforcing the brand's connection to place.

The result is a cohesive, elevated brand identity that positions Salty Doors as a leading name in boutique coastal accommodation. It’s a brand that feels premium yet personal, designed for longevity, and ready to grow. From welcome notes to digital bookings, every touchpoint now reflects the warmth, elegance, and soul of the business behind the doors.
